Beard cheek line: follow your growth or choose a visible edge?
The cheek line runs from sideburn towards moustache and determines how much upper cheek belongs to the beard. A natural line and a sharper one can both look tidy. The strongest choice matches how your beard grows there and the form you want to see.
Choose natural or defined as a style
A natural cheek line follows more of the existing growth; a defined line creates a clearer open area above the beard. Neither is automatically better. Point out how high and angular you find the edge in a reference.
Look at both cheeks in the mirror and discuss the silhouette, not only a line of individual hairs.
Account for existing density
A line can frame your growth, but cannot create equal density everywhere. Choose a boundary you enjoy in your own beard rather than trying to copy a photograph literally.
